Vets Beyond Borders (VBB) is an Australian-based animal welfare charity established in 2003. The organisation provides volunteer expertise for veterinary-based animal and public health projects in needy communities and for under-resourced organisations around the world, to help them establish and run effective intervention projects.
VBB does this through three main programs – AVERT (Australian Veterinary Emergency Response Team), VetMatch and VetTrain.
VBB also supplies veterinary resources (such as medicines and equipment) these projects whenever possible.
